Abstract | This paper addresses the outage problem and its mitigation for quality of service (QoS) of wireless networks with fading channels. At first, we set up a continuous time Markov chain (CTMC) model that includes various source states and channel outage states. Then we formulate the overall mitigation problem by means of a Fluid Stochastic Petri Net (FSPN) and relate the weighted loss rate as a QoS measure and the buffer threshold as a mitigation parameter. |
